The CITEL Protection KIT 1-13 is a complete solution for protecting AC applications, designed for situations where the system’s main fuse is larger than what CITEL approves for surge protection. The pre-fuse safely isolates the SPD when short-circuit currents flow, but does not trip falsely in response to normal inrush currents caused by lightning or switching operations. This complete solution consists of a compact Type 1 surge protection device (from the DAC1-13 series), the SFD1 fuse holder with matching SFD fuses to protect the Type 1 SPD, and a custom-designed phase busbar for minimal cable lengths. Integrated fuse indicators and a potential-free changeover contact (FM) enable direct integration into the building management system.
