Generator junction boxes for photovoltaic systems

Only functioning photovoltaic systems meet the demands of operators for environmentally friendly electricity and an economic exploitation of the system.

With our optimized generator junction boxes, we offer optimum lightning and surge protection, especially for small and medium-sized PV systems. The basis for the revision of the previous junction boxes was the new version of DIN VDE 0100-712:2016 and IEC 60364-7-712:2017, which describes the requirements for operating sites, rooms and installations of a special kind - photovoltaic (PV) power supply systems. Among other things, "Live working" is also described there.

For the professional installation of a lightning and surge protection concept for PV systems, the user only had the pre-standard VDE V 0675-39-12 (CLC/TS 50539-12) at his disposal, in addition to supplement 5 of the lightning protection standard VDE 0185-305-3 (EN 62305-3) and the information provided by the Verband der Sachversicherer e.V. (Association of Property Insurers) in the VdS bulletin 2010.

Since September 2017, the new application standard IEC 61643-32 ED1 has been published on an international level, which finds its national implementation in the VDE 0675-6-32 draft. The new DIN VDE 0100-712 now also contains additional requirements for protecting systems against overvoltages.
